What we can offer you as an NQT:

  • Minimum starting salary £25,344 for all NQTs
  • Lump sum retention payment available upon successful completion of the NQT year for all candidates that sign up prior to 5th April 2019: amount is £1,000 to £5,000 depending on your agreed length of guaranteed service

We take the development of all our staff seriously, whatever period of time they have been teaching for. As an NQT, you will benefit from mentor support both in your department and from elsewhere in the school; a reduced timetable in the first year; your own classroom and a bespoke training programme that meets your needs as an individual. In further years, you will have the opportunity to access further study in the form of Masters programmes and/or National College training programmes, plus tailored career stage development in school.
