Summer Work

In order to support our students’ learning over the summer, should they choose to continue their studies, we have collated a series of subject-specific materials to support them. These materials can be found below by choosing corresponding subjects links.

 

Summer Work

Year 12

Subject Summer work
Fine Art A Level students can be completing their written element of their Personal Investigation and continuing with relevant drawings and paintings. Including but not limited to artist studies, own photographs, compositional studies and more highly worked final responses.
Photography & Graphics A level students are to continue working on their NEA (coursework). They could be developing ideas considering their research: taking, editing and manipulating photographs etc. They also need to continue working on their essay and read widely around their chosen Personal Investigation focus.
Business Studies BTEC - students can complete their coursework/assignment tasks over the summer if they have not completed them so far. Alevel - students can read over some of the content covered in Year 13 to get a clearer picture of content moving forward. Finance - students can use the LIBF website to read ahead on to the Diploma Unit 3 topics, this will give them a head start to Year 13 topics and give them a chance to improve their financial skill. Use of the Financial Times website will also aid their knowledge development. They all have logins for this.
Criminology Students are to ensure that all the case studies set over Term 5 are completed. and that the Unit 3 tasks are also done and up loaded. This includes AC1.1 and 1.4 and AC2.1, Ac2.2 and AC2.5.

Film Studies All relevant information has been placed on Google Classroom. It is essential that they continue work on their screenplays over the Summer.These will be emailed to me for checking - deadlines to be established. Read through existing Knowledge Organisers and continue the process of creating their own. Rewatch comp 1 films.
Geography Read through some past NEAs.
History 1) Students to follow the schedule that MWA and JTU provided on 26.06.2020 in order to plan and draft their NEA over the summer. 2) Students to complete all work from both history google classtooms that has not yet been completed.
Law Students neew to submit work for the following Assignments, unless specifically told they don't need to by their unit teacher. Dispute Solving Assignment 4. Lwa Making Assignments 2, 3 and 4. Legal Liability Assingment 2, 3 and 4.

Philosophy & Ethics Christianity - Research the three theories of the atonement

Public Services Students are to complete all assignments that have been set by their staff for Unit 1 with Mr Collins, Unit 3 with Mr Daburn and Mr Wright-Hanson and the year13 Unit Mr Loftus started with them during lockdown.
