The Howard School is committed to providing high quality careers education, information, advice, guidance and work-related learning, including work experience. Our concern is equipping students to manage the choices, changes and transitions affecting their future education, training, employment and life as adult members of an international society and to instil life-long learning.
The careers programme is designed to meet the needs of all learners at The Howard School. It is differentiated to ensure progression through appropriate activities, based on the learners’ stage of career learning and development, therefore strengthening their motivation, aspirations and attainment at school. It will be tailored as required to meet the needs of any individual pupil with any disability to promote inclusion.
Work experience is an important part of both Year 10 and Year 12. Please see below for parent/carer information on this.
