The Howard School Uniform for September 2009 is listed below:

A high standard of personal appearance is expected.  Anyone arriving at school in non-uniform clothing may expect to be sent home to change.  Boys must not wear jewellery in school.

All students must wear

• A black blazer with embroidered school badge and year ribbon (compulsory for Year 7 to 11)
• Plain white shirt with collar and school tie
• A black v-neck jumper with embroidered school badge and a year ribbon for Year 7 to 11.  The jumper is optional but if worn must be a Howard School jumper.
• Black or dark grey trousers – not denims or cords
• Plain black leather shoes – not trainers
• Baseball caps, hooded tops and jewellery are prohibited

PE/games kit – items may be purchased through the school

• White polo shirt with embroidered school badge, navy shorts with embroidered school name, white sports socks and trainers. Purple rugby shirt, purple football socks with embroidered school initials, and football boots, shin pads.  A gum shield is highly recommended.  Optional item: navy sweatshirt with embroidered school badge.

All boys are encouraged to take a shower after games and for this reason will need a labelled towel.

Sixth form students are not required to wear this uniform.  Full details of acceptable alternative clothing can be found in a separate brochure issued during Year 11.
